Does “Remote File” support /system directory access? If not, will it ever? Thanks!

Is it possible to disable automatic splitting of messages longer than 160 chars? If is was possible to add an option to keep long messages as one message it would be awesome especially for Verizon phones! I can’t figure out how to do it myself… Thanks!

    Hi,
for “remote call”, would it be possible to start a new call by simply pressing enter after typing the number?

    Regards Torsten

    Hey guys,

Have you ever thought of adding tabbed messages? I feel like when talking to 2-3 people, there are bulky windows are all over the place. If they had tabs, I could just have one “talking” box, and one box for the received / sent messages. Then when you get a message, the tab could flash or something.

    Thanks

      Hi Jason,

if you disable the conversation view, you will see all messages in the main message window.
We will check if we can add any type of tabs…

Seems very nice… Will it ever support some kind of public api, so I can write a front-end for my computer or something like this?

Has anybody gotten the bluetooth to work with a Macintosh? I see questions about this above, but no answers. All I get is “Starting Discovery”; nothing more. At the console I see…

Exception in thread “main” java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/bluetooth/BluetoothStateException
    at SysTrayGUI.doDiscovery(SysTrayGUI.java:174)
    at SysTrayGUI.(SysTrayGUI.java:109)
    at Main.main(Main.java:14)

This is on a (2-month-old) Mac Air.

    I got connected through Wi-Fi :)
But while sending sms or view conversation this is happening, what should it do ??

    The connection has timed out

The server at 192.168.1.34 is taking too long to respond.

    * The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.

    * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network
    connection.

    * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

    Best Regards
    Gaurav

I’ve successfully added the app to my Samsung Vibrant (Froyo) and I attempted to download RemoveSMS_BT but I don’t know how to make it work.

My Mac (OS X Leopard) is connected to the phone via BT, but I don’t know how to initiate the SMS console or install anything on the mac.

Can you help? Thanks in advance.

I just purchased the full version. Can I send bulk SMS and have a variable (such as first name) within the SMS which is correct for each different contact?

    Thank you for your help

The free app does not meet my needs. What I want is to have all the conversations on my phone available on the PC (in conversation mode), just like it is on my Droid X. Then I can select a conversation and reply to it. Does the paid version do this?

    • ct

Yes, the full version grants you full access to all your conversations stored on your phone!

I’m in Indonesia and want to buy the full version, but its not appearing in Android market? Is that because of where I am? What should I do?

You can get it via SlideMe or AndroidPit. See “Get It Now” on the RemoteSMS Product page.

    Hello!
I have “feature request” for remoteSMS. Is it possible to disable notification diode (nexus one), when message is read through remoteSMS? Diode is blinking and it is irritating, when message is read.

Sadly, this is not possible with the stock sms application. As a workaround, you can install Handcent SMS, which allows this via the settings.
