A new version of RemoteSMS Full has just been released.
Basically, it just brings back the quick-reply box in conversation-view which was a major request by a lot of people lately.
Today, RemoteSMS Full 6.8 has been released. We continued on what we have started in the previous release: Taking RemoteSMS Full to a whole new level by making excessive use of ajax.
The whole interface is now “floating” and can be dragged and resized. As always, you can read the complete changelog in our Changelog Section.
In this post we want to discuss some (2) common issues users might have while using the new version of RemoteSMS.
The next version of RemoteSMS will get a complete update on it’s window handling.

The next release (which is planned to come within the next 2 weeks) will only need one browser window. All popups are removed and are replaced by draggable and resizeable containers. We are very excited about this release and hope that you will like it. The update will also come with a couple of bugfixes (like always…)
Update 08.03.2010:
We had to update RemoteSMS Full a couple of times in the meantime. Because of the new ajax sending technology, some numbers and messages were transferred incompletely to the phone. Please update to RemoteSMS Full 6.7.4 as soon possible (the bug is fixed in that version).
We are really sorry about the many updates the last couple of days and the inconvenience this was causing you.
Original article:
A new version of RemoteSMS Full has been released. There are a lot of rather big (internal) changes from which all of you will benefit.
We changed the way the contacts are cached by RemoteSMS. This will improve the start-up times of RemoteSMS rapidly. After an initial parsing process (first start of RemoteSMS), contacts will be loaded much faster every next time you start RemoteSMS.
